Yangon

Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, besides being the biggest city, is also the erstwhile capital of Myanmar. This city is the country’s most prominent Political, Cultural and Commercial center. The city of Yangon has been plagued by problems of poverty and underdevelopment. Infrastructural facilities of the city have always been below the expected levels.

Brigadier General Aung Thein Lynn is currently the Mayor of the city. Buddhism, Islam and Christianity are the major religions practiced in Yangon. Agriculture is the chief occupation of the inhabitants in the city of Yangon. The standards of Health facilities are deplorable in this city.
